i LOVED that you suggested we read "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell" - i read it this summer, but unfortunately i don't have any friends that have read it! i'm dying to talk about it! it was definitely a commitment - especially during the thick middle section, but i thought the ending was so riveting!!!
